The first weeks home with a new baby bring a lot of changes and adjustments. If you have had hospital-based care you are likely not to see a professional caregiver until you take your newborn to the pediatrician or see your caregiver at 6 weeks postpartum.
As a postpartum doula I come to you on a prearranged schedule or as needed to support you and your families adjustment.
We meet twice prenatally to get to know one another and discuss your expected needs and potential options for care. After you are home with baby you contact me to activate your care plan.
Care can look many different ways and can change based on your actual needs in the postpartum period. My potential services include: cooking and cleaning, caring for other children so that you can rest, breastfeeding support, listening to you, suggestions for fussy babies and reassuring you that all is well. I also have a wealth of supportive remedies and practitioner recommendations if desired.
